About Warrior Health

Enhancing Mental Health for Ontario’s Public Safety Personnel and Their Families

Warrior Health is a consortium-powered mental health initiative established under the MHS4PSP program in partnership with Ontario’s Ministry of the Solicitor General (SOLGEN). We bring together over 300 years of combined mental health expertise and more than 1,000 mental health professionals, treatment providers, navigators, and volunteers from industry-leading organizations such as Wounded Warriors Canada, Homewood Health, CAMH, Trillium Health Partners, and Boots on the Ground.

Our Model

Makes a comprehensive suite of evidence-based, validated, and trauma-informed mental health and resilience services available, in support of Ontario's Public Safety Personnel (PSP) and within public safety communities. Warrior Health addresses the gaps in proactive and upstream mental health support by delivering programs that are:

  • Trauma-Informed: Grounded in an understanding of the unique trauma experienced by Public Safety Personnel.
  • Culturally Specific: Designed with a deep sensitivity to the needs of Indigenous, racialized, and minoritized professionals.
  • Consortium-Driven: Leveraging decades of expertise and innovative research in public safety mental health.

Who We Serve

Warrior Health is designed for the more than 80,000 public safety professionals in Ontario, including police officers, firefighters, paramedics, emergency dispatchers, correctional staff, forensic specialists, and other public safety personnel exposed to trauma on the job. Our services also extend to their families and retirees.

Our Services

Warrior Health offers two distinct pathways:

  • Core Services Platform: A secure digital “Front Door” accessible via web portal and mobile app, providing confidential, anonymous access to services such as internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy (ICBT), self-screening tools, educational resources, and round-the-clock support via dedicated phone lines.
  • Basket of Services: A comprehensive, fee-for-service menu for public safety organizations, featuring offerings in general wellness, peer support, leadership, mindfulness, anti-stigma programs, and pre-employment mental health screening—156 services in total.
